The next generation of confocal sensors for series integration

The confocalDT IFD2410 and IFD2415 compact confocal sensors represent a new generation of sensors. These compact sensor systems have an integrated controller, which significantly simplifies installation. Several measuring ranges and accuracy classes open up a wide range of measurement tasks, e.g., for series use in coordinate measuring machines, for inline thickness monitoring of flat glass and for testing electronic components. With measuring rates up to 25 kHz, even dynamic measurements can be performed reliably.

Compact confocal sensor system for industrial series applications

The new confocalDT 2411 compact controller offers maximum application flexibility for industrial measurement tasks - both for distance and thickness measurements of transparent objects. The controller enables a resolution of < 2 nm and achieves a measuring rate of 8 kHz. The confocalDT 2411 is supplied as a complete channel and is factory-calibrated to sensors with measuring ranges of 1, 2, 3 or 6 mm. All confocal sensors from Micro-Epsilon can be used for series applications. This opens up numerous possible applications, such as in machine building and in glass and smartphone production.

White light interferometer for high precision wafer thickness measurement

The interferoMETER 5420 is designed for high precision wafer thickness measurement in the semiconductor industry. Thickness measurement is performed with just one sensor and is used, for example, in the inline quality control of wafers and for controlling grinding and polishing processes. The white light interferometer achieves a resolution down to 1 nm with a light spot diameter of only 20 µm.

Precise laser scanners with increased performance

The scanCONTROL 3000 laser scanners are used for precise inline measurements in numerous applications. The performance of the laser scanners has been further increased through targeted optimization. Improved algorithms and components increase data acquisition and output up to 10 million measurement points per second. The profile calculation and evaluation speed for smart sensors is increased by up to 60%, which means that dynamic profile evaluations can be performed even more efficiently in the controller.

Solution Partner: Measuring machine with 3D laser scanner

For 3D measurement of suspension springs, Qsigma GmbH has developed a measuring system equipped with laser scanners from Micro-Epsilon. With this Spring Measurement System (SMS), springs can be tested in a very short time.

Innovative 3D snapshot sensor for inline inspection of geometry, shapes and surfaces

The innovative surfaceCONTROL 3D 3500 sensor from Micro-Epsilon is used for high-precision inline 3D measurements. With a repeatability of up to 0.4 µm in the z-axis, the sensor reaches a new performance level. The snapshot sensor enables a true 3D evaluation of geometry, shape and surface and is used for inline measurement. At the same time, 3DInspect provides an end-to-end software solution for Micro-Epsilon's entire 3D sensor portfolio.

Smart, fast and powerful laser sensors with integrated fieldbuses

The compact optoNCDT 1900 laser sensors have an integrated high-performance controller with EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP and PROFINET interfaces. The integrated Industrial Ethernet interfaces offer numerous advantages for the user when networking multiple devices and machines. The innovative optoNCDT 1900 laser triangulation sensor is used whenever maximum precision is combined with the latest technology - in robotics as well as in 3D printers, coordinate measuring machines and battery and smartphone production.

Robust laser distance sensors for outdoor use

The new optoNCDT ILR1171-125 laser distance sensor is used for distance measurements up to 270 m and particularly impresses in outdoor measurements. With its high signal intensity, the robust laser sensor provides precise results even in fog and rain. The high temperature stability allows applications at temperatures from -40 °C to +60 °C. Due to its compact dimensions, the sensor can also be integrated into confined installation spaces.

High-performance fiber optic sensors for industrial measurement tasks

The high-performance optoCONTROL CLS1000 fiber optic sensors precisely measure position, distance and size in automated production processes. The measuring system is available in five different versions, enabling the fiber optic sensors to be adapted to different application requirements. Commissioning is easy via the control panel, OLED display and numerous teach-in modes.
